Denny Webster is a retired professor of psychiatric nursing and feminist therapist. She received "D's" in both art and home ec in junior high. She began quilting in 1994 as an attempt to do something grandmotherly when her first grandchild was born. She also had a very realistic dream that her pottery teacher suggested she take up quilting. Since then she has had the good fortune to take classes with many talented quilters and artists.
Having turned from words to images, her work continues to be provocative, personal, political, and, sometimes, amusing.
